About me
Margaret Li is a Cleveland-based artist with a background in Illustration, Painting, and Motion Graphics. With experience working for local creative firms and as a freelancer, she has been involved in a variety of projects, including GameSamba’s “Fairy Tail: A Hero’s Journey”, an animated series for the Ohio Department of Higher Education, and explainer videos for the Tax Foundation.
In addition to her Professor of Practice role at the Cleveland Institute of Art teaching drawing and animation, she participates in Artist Alleys and local art events, such as the Cleveland Asian Festival and Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo, showcasing her personal illustrations and designs.
At the heart of Margaret’s artistic practice is a deep appreciation for whimsical storytelling. Inspired by vintage storybook illustrations, Japanese anime, and classical art, her work seeks to capture a sense of enchantment and warmth.
